M-SAA Joint Communiqué

To all Members of the Federation

Attached for your reading is a joint communication from the LHINS and the six provider associations who are working on a MSAA agreement for community providers.  This has been a collaborative process that has seen a commitment to:

  • The development of a policy statement to be included that will define the process for addressing the impacts of a termination order
  • Clarification of a dispute process
  • Clarification of subcontracting
  • Agreement that organizations are not expected to sign a MSAA until the identified work is completed by the end of January.

This is an evolutionary process that will require ongoing work.  The Federation and the LHIN MSAA committee have committed to ongoing dialogue as we look to  the amended 2011-2013 MSAA.

Thanks very much
